Out side the True Catholic Church there is no Salvation.

Mission Statement

     We are Roman Catholics who acknowledge that Vatican II faith and orders are completely invalid. We are preserving the Traditional faith and sacraments of the Church, before Vatican II. We adhere solely to the Rite of Mass Codified by the Council of Trent in 1570, and to all Rites and Usages Codified by the same Council and in Venerable Usage until the Heresies of the Second Vatican Council. We regard these Traditional Rites as fitting for the expression of Divine Worship. We know that the Rites invented by the new Montinian Church are null, void and invalid.

Although we cultivate theological accuracy as a Religious Community, nevertheless unlike many Traditionalist groups we do not engage in debate, or arguments concerning Validity of other groups’ Orders, the minutia of Ritualistic practice, or the rights and wrongs of Vatican II. Such arguments cause further wounds to the body of Christ and are not conducive to the practice of true religion. We are totally indifferent to the so-called "New Church" (Novus Ordo), to focus on living our faith and sacraments according to God’s Law, along with the Commands of our Holy Mother the Roman Catholic Church.

The Community, while living in the world, attempt to live according to the Rule of Saint Augustine as much as is practically possible. We are self-supporting having to engage in secular work to cover our expenses.

We started out in the 90s as a group of five priests, having been ordained by a Thuc line Bishop in France. We first worked with a group of disaffected Catholics on the outskirts of London. After the death of three of our number in quick succession we were forced to downsize. Since this time we have been working with a group of Traditionalist lay people in South East Kent for some years.​

Communion rules

  • Non-Catholics are not permitted to receive Holy Communion.

  • You must be fasting:

    • Three hours from solid foods and alcohol;

    • One hour from other liquids;

    • Water may be taken at any time.

  • You must be in a state of sanctifying grace (confessed and been absolved from any mortal sins).

  • You must be modestly dressed.

  • No Communion in the hand.

  • At the traditional Mass, the communicant does not say “Amen.”

Constitution of the Community

Dearly beloved, before all else, may God be loved, and then our neighbour, for these are the first precepts delivered unto us in Holy Scripture.
The Community of Saint Augustine is a company of Celibate priests and Religious Brothers, pledge to uphold commend and teach the Traditional Faith and practice of the Catholic Church as they were know and received prior to the Second Vatican Council.
The officers of the Community are the Bishop Abbot and the Prior who has control of the finances of the community.
All clergy on admission to the community shall in public read the Profession of Faith and the Oath Against Modernism and put their signature to the same.
The Community adheres to the Christian Faith as Defined by the Infallible Authority of the Supreme Pontiff, and the Ecumenical Councils united with him Without any deference or distinction whatsoever, When Matter of Faith or Morals are defined Ex Cathedra for the whole Church. While upholding and praying for the Office of the Papacy the Community hold the Sedevacantist position.
In matters of discipline the Community shall follow the Rules defined by the Sacred Council of Trent.
The Rites and Ceremonies to be used by members of the Community are those contained in the Roman Pontifical, The Roman Breviary, The Roman Missal and the Roman Ritual in used before Second Vatican Council.
Holy Mass will be offered exclusively according to the TRIDENTINE RITE as Codified by Saint Pius V, not a world shall be added or removed from this rite.
Those wishing for acceptance for training to the priesthood within the community must first be approved by the Bishop Abbot whose decision will be final.While is most fitting that we should promote Christian Unity, The Community firmly holds to the view that the Traditional Roman Church is the one, true church, Founded by Jesus Christ. In its relations with other Religious denominations, its shall do nothing to give the impression that all religious are equal.
No member of this Community shall attend the services of other religious bodies without the prior permission of the Bishop Abbot.

QUO PRIMUM - English translation:

 

PIUS, BISHOP OF ROME Servant of the Servants of God FOR AN EVERLASTING MEMORIAL.

 

Upon our elevation to the Apostolic throne We gladly turned Our mind and energies, and directed all Our thoughts, to the matter of preserving incorrupt the public worship of the Church; and We have striven, with God’s help, by every means in Our power to achieve that purpose.

 

Whereas amongst other decrees of the Holy Council of Trent We were charged with revision and re-issue of the sacred books, to wit the Catechism, the Missal and the Breviary; and whereas We have with God’s consent published a Catechism for the instruction of the faithful, and thoroughly revised the Breviary for the due performance of the Divine Office, We next, in order that Missal and Breviary might be in perfect harmony, as is right and proper (considering that it is altogether fitting that there should be in the Church only one appropriate manner of Psalmody and one sole rite of celebrating Mass), deemed it necessary to give Our immediate attention to what still remained to be done, namely the re-editing of the Missal with the least possible delay.

 

We resolved accordingly to delegate this task to a select committee of scholars; and they, having at every stage of their work and with the utmost care collated the ancient codices in Our Vatican Library and reliable (original or amended) codices from elsewhere, and having also consulted the writing of ancient and approved authors who have bequeathed to us records relating to the said sacred rites, thus restored the Missal itself to the pristine form and rite of the holy Fathers. When this production had been subjected to close scrutiny and further amended We, after mature consideration, ordered that the final result be forthwith printed and published in Rome, so that all may enjoy the fruits of this labor: that priests may know what prayers to use, and what rites and ceremonies they are to use henceforward in the celebration of Masses.

 

Now therefore, in order that all everywhere may adopt and observe what has been delivered to them by the Holy Roman Church, Mother and Mistress of the other churches, it shall be unlawful henceforth and forever throughout the Christian world to sing or to read Masses according to any formula other than that of this Missal published by Us; this ordinance to apply to all churches and chapels, with or without care of souls, patriarchal, collegiate and parochial, be they secular or belonging to any religious Order whether of men (including the military Orders) or of women, in which conventual Masses are or ought to be sung aloud in choir or read privately according to the rites and customs of the Roman Church; to apply moreover even if the said churches have been in any way exempted, whether by indult of the Apostolic See, by custom, by privilege, or even by oath or Apostolic confirmation, or have their rights and faculties guaranteed to them in any other way whatsoever; saving only those in which the practice of saying Mass differently was granted over two hundred years ago simultaneously with the Apostolic See’s institution and confirmation of the church, and those in which there has prevailed a similar custom followed continuously for a period of not less than two hundred years; in which cases We in no wise rescind their prerogatives or customs aforesaid. Nevertheless, if this Missal which We have seen fit to publish be more agreeable to these last, We hereby permit them to celebrate Mass according to this rite, subject to the consent of their bishop or prelate, and of their whole Chapter, all else to the contrary notwithstanding. All other churches aforesaid are hereby denied the use of other missals, which are to be wholly and entirely rejected; and by this present Constitution, which shall have the force of law in perpetuity, We order and enjoin under pain of Our displeasure that nothing be added to Our newly published Missal, nothing omitted therefrom, and nothing whatsoever altered there in.

 

We specifically command each and every patriarch, administrator and all other persons of whatsoever ecclesiastical dignity, be they even Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church, or, possessed of any other rank or pre-eminence, and We order them by virtue of holy obedience to sing or to read the Mass according to the rite and manner and norm herein laid down by Us, and henceforward to discontinue and utterly discard all other rubrics and rites of other missals, howsoever ancient, which they have been accustomed to follow, and not to presume in celebrating Mass to introduce any ceremonies or recite any prayers other than those contained in this Missal.

 

Furthermore, by these presents and by virtue of Our Apostolic authority, We give and grant in perpetuity that for the singing or reading of Mass in any church whatsoever this Missal may be followed absolutely, without any scruple of conscience or fear of incurring any penalty, judgement or censure, and may be freely and lawfully used. Nor shall bishops, administrators, canons, chaplains and other secular priests, or religious of whatsoever Order or by whatsoever title designated, be obliged to celebrate Mass otherwise than enjoined by Us. We likewise order and declare that no one whosoever shall be forced or coerced into altering this Missal; and this present Constitution can never be revoked or modified, but shall forever remain valid and have the force of law, notwithstanding previous constitutions or edicts of provincial or synodal councils, and notwithstanding the usage of the churches aforesaid established by very long and even immemorial prescription, saving only usage of more than two hundred years.

 

Consequently it is Our will, and by the same authority We decree, that one month after publication of this Our Constitution and Missal, priests of the Roman Curia shall be obliged to sing or to read the Mass in accordance therewith; others south of the Alps, after three months; those who live beyond the Alps, after six months or as soon as the Missal becomes available for purchase.

 

Furthermore, in order that the said Missal may be preserved incorrupt and kept free from defects and errors, the penalty for nonobservance in the case of all printers resident in territory directly or indirectly subject to Ourselves and the Holy Roman Church shall be forfeiture of their books and a fine of 100 gold ducats payable ipso facto to the Apostolic Treasury. In the case of those resident in other parts of the world it shall be excommunication latae sententiae and all other penalties at Our discretion; and by Our Apostolic authority and the tenor of these presents. We also decree that they must not dare or presume either to print or to publish or to sell, or in any way to take delivery of such books without Our approval and consent, or without express permission of the Apostolic Commissary in the said parts appointed by us for that purpose. Each of the said printers must receive from the aforementioned Commissary a standard Missal to serve as an exemplar for subsequent copies, which, when made, must be compared with the exemplar and agree faithfully therewith, varying in no wise from the first impression printed in Rome.

 

But, since it would be difficult for this present Constitution to be transmitted to all parts of the world and to come to the notice of all concerned simultaneously, We direct that it be, as usual, posted and published at the doors of the Basilica of the Prince of the Apostles, at those of the Apostolic Chancery, and at the end of the Campo de’Fiori; moreover We direct that printed copies of the same, signed by a notary public and authenticated with the seal of an ecclesiastical dignitary, shall possess the same unqualified and indubitable validity everywhere and in every country that would attend the display there of Our present text. Accordingly, no one whosoever is permitted to infringe or rashly contravene this notice of Our permission, statute, ordinance, command, direction, grant, indult, declaration, will, decree and prohibition. Should any person venture to do so, let him understand that he will incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul.

 

Given at Saint Peter’s, Rome, in the year of Our Lord’s Incarnation one thousand five hundred and seventy, on the fourteenth day of July in the fifth year of Our Pontificate.​

Oath against Modernism

All the Clergy of this Community must swear to the Oath against Modernism mandated by His Holiness Pope Saint Pius X, on the 1st of September, 1910.

(To be sworn to by all clergy, pastors, confessors, preachers, religious superiors, and professors in philosophical-theological seminaries.)

“I firmly embrace and accept each and every definition that has been set forth and declared by the unerring teaching authority of the Church, especially those principal truths which are directly opposed to the errors of this day. “And first of all, I profess that God, the origin and end of all things, can be known with certainty by the natural light of reason from the created world (see Rom. 1:90), that is, from the visible works of creation, as a cause from its effects, and that, therefore, his existence can also be demonstrated.
“Secondly, I accept and acknowledge the external proofs of revelation, that is, divine acts and especially miracles and prophecies as the surest signs of the divine origin of the Christian religion and I hold that these same proofs are well adapted to the understanding of all eras and all men, even of this time.
“Thirdly, I believe with equally firm faith that the Church, the guardian and teacher of the revealed word, was personally instituted by the real and historical Christ when he lived among us, and that the Church was built upon Peter, the prince of the apostolic hierarchy, and his successors for the duration of time.
“Fourthly, I sincerely hold that the doctrine of faith was handed down to us from the apostles through the orthodox Fathers in exactly the same meaning and always in the same purport. Therefore, I entirely reject the heretical misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously. I also condemn every error according to which, in place of the divine deposit which has been given to the spouse of Christ to be carefully guarded by her, there is put a philosophical figment or product of a human conscience that has gradually been developed by human effort and will continue to develop indefinitely.
“Fifthly, I hold with certainty and sincerely confess that faith is not a blind sentiment of religion welling up from the depths of the subconscious under the impulse of the heart and the motion of a will trained to morality; but faith is a genuine assent of the intellect to truth received by hearing from an external source. By this assent, because of the authority of the supremely truthful God, we believe to be true that which has been revealed and attested to by a personal God, our Creator and Lord.
“Furthermore, with due reverence, I submit and adhere with my whole heart to the condemnations, declarations, and all the prescripts contained in the encyclical Pascendi and in the decree Lamentabili, especially those concerning what is known as the history of dogmas. I also reject the error of those who say that the faith held by the Church can contradict history, and that Catholic dogmas, in the sense in which they are now understood, are irreconcilable with a more realistic view of the origins of the Christian religion. I also condemn and reject the opinion of those who say that a well-educated Christian assumes a dual personality – that of a believer and at the same time of a historian, as if it were permissible for a historian to hold things that contradict the faith of the believer, or to establish premises which, provided there be no direct denial of dogmas, would lead to the conclusion that dogmas are either false or doubtful. Likewise, I reject that method of judging and interpreting Sacred Scripture which, departing from the tradition of the Church, the analogy of faith, and the norms of the Apostolic See, embraces the misrepresentations of the rationalists and with no prudence or restraint adopts textual criticism as the one and supreme norm.
“Furthermore, I reject the opinion of those who hold that a professor lecturing or writing on a historico-theological subject should first put aside any preconceived opinion about the supernatural origin of Catholic tradition or about the divine promise of help to preserve all revealed truth forever; and that they should then interpret the writings of each of the Fathers solely by scientific principles, excluding all sacred authority, and with the same liberty of judgment that is common in the investigation of all ordinary historical documents.
“Finally, I declare that I am completely opposed to the error of the modernists who hold that there is nothing divine in sacred tradition; or what is far worse, say that there is, but in a pantheistic sense, with the result that there would remain nothing but this plain simple fact one to be put on a par with the ordinary facts of history, the fact, namely, that a group of men by their own labor, skill, and talent have continued through subsequent ages a school begun by Christ and his apostles. I firmly hold, then, and shall hold to my dying breath the belief of the Fathers in the charism of truth, which certainly is, was, and always will be in the succession of the episcopacy from the apostles. The purpose of this is, then, not that dogma may be tailored according to what seems better and more suited to the culture of each age; rather, that the absolute and immutable truth preached by the apostles from the beginning may never be believed to be different, may never be understood in any other way.

THE TRADITIONAL MOVEMENT
• PRESERVATION of the ancient Roman rite of Mass in the form in which it has been celebrated for centuries throughout the world.
• RESPECT for the Church’s sacred traditions as a vital link with the traditional Faith regarding the nature of the Mass, and as a secure anchor and guarantee that we do not drift away from that Faith.
• NO COMPROMISE with the spirit of the world or adaptation of the Mass to the lifestyle of our desacralised age.
• RESTORATION of a sacred atmosphere where God comes first and in which we give Him the worship that is due to Him.
• APPRECIATION of the Church’s treasury of sacred music especially Gregorian Chant and Sacred Polyphony.
• PROMOTION of the use of Latin, the Church’s own language, in her worship, teaching and administration.
• PROTECTION of our altars from destruction and our sanctuaries from being re-ordered, none of which was authorised by the Second Vatican Council.


THE NEED FOR REVERENCE
“Holy things must be treated in a holy way” (The Council of Trent)
• beauty, dignity, silence, reverence in the Mass?
• a chance to participate in the Holy Sacrifice in the way of our ancestors in the Faith?
• a sense of awe and mystery in worship?
• ample room for recollection and private prayer?


A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
The traditional Latin Mass is now the only form of Mass available to us in which all these qualities abound, and where every word spoken, every gesture performed by the priest as he offers the Divine Victim to the Heavenly Father is perfectly attuned to this supreme act of worship.


PASTORAL ADVANTAGES
According to Christian Tradition, reverence is fundamental to worship as it increases a sense of the sacred and allows us to ‘see’ the eternal and the supernatural. Cardinal Newman said that anyone who does not fear and revere has not known the reality of God. It is also true that reverence for the traditional form of worship and fear of abandoning it are fundamental to the continuity of the Faith. “Lex orandi, lex credendi” (As we believe, so we pray) sums up the Church’s centuries-old wisdom. This is the tried and tested method which has inspired countless saints and martyrs, fostered devotion to the Mass among successive generations of the faithful, increased vocations to the priesthood religious life, and attract converts.


HOW DO I RECOGNISE THE TRADITIONAL ROMAN RITE OF MASS?
The great majority of Catholics today would not even recognise, still less know how to participate in, the Mass of the Roman rite as it was celebrated for centuries all over the world. Many have simply forgotten it, and if brought face to face with the Mass of their childhood would look with uncomprehending eyes at the celebration of mysteries which have slipped from their consciousness. Even larger numbers of Catholics have never heard of the following basic tenets of the Catholic faith with which devout people of all times, including children, were familiar and which are conspicuously evident in the prayers and rubrics of the traditional Roman Mass.
From the moment the priest enters the sanctuary, correctly vested to celebrate Mass, and declares his intention to offer sacrifice with the immortal words Introibo ad altare Dei (‘I will go unto the altar of God’), you know you are present at one of the oldest and most venerable rites of Mass in the Catholic Church.
In the old rite the Church sets forth in a fully explicit way her doctrine of the Communion of Saints by which we are united in a bond of fellowship with all the faithful living and dead. The doctrine of the intercession of Our Lady and the Saints whose merits can win grace for our souls is given frequent prominence in the Ordinary and the Propers of the traditional Latin Mass.
The Offertory prayers are now unique in the Church for their doctrinal richness and the outstanding beauty of their composition. They speak with immense veneration of the bread and wine even before Consecration, using expressly sacrificial terminology of great rhetorical beauty. This is an important spiritual preparation for the moment of Consecration and has been handed on to us as a precious heritage of Catholic piety through the centuries.


THE CONSECRATION
The Consecration is the culminating point of the Mass towards which everything converges. The Church teaches that the words ‘Mystery of Faith’ in the Consecration formula are meant in the traditional sense that the bread and wine have become truly, really, substantially the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, and that this change is brought about by the power of God only through the intermediary of a priest when he pronounces the words of Consecration. The rubrics of the old rite, reflecting the Catholic instinct towards the Real Presence, require that the priest genuflect immediately after bringing about this unique miracle.
It is because of the supremely sacred nature of this Sacrifice that it is celebrated with solemnity and devout veneration. All the words and gestures of the priest are meticulously regulated by the rubrics, which include multiple genuflections, to ensure the greatest possible reverence in worship.
The old rite omits nothing that may serve to remind us that the Sacrifice of the Mass is the Sacrifice on Calvary mystically re-enacted on the altar. Hence the many Signs of the Cross made over the Sacred Species and the orientation of the priest towards the altar of Sacrifice. The essence of the Mass is the offering of the Divine Victim to God through the intermediary of a priest acting in the person of Christ. It is a fitting and very powerful symbol of Sacrifice that all participants in the Mass face the same way, that is towards the Lord, as was the practice of the Universal Church from earliest times.

To foster unity of Sedevacantists and to avoid fragmentation, our Community offers in all humility the following:

  • A Confraternity of sedevacantist Independent Roman Catholic Priests

  • The Confraternity of Sedevacantist Independent Traditional Roman Catholic priests is a voluntary and fraternal association of Traditional  Roman Catholic Priests who are functioning independently.

  • Priests who exclusively follow the Tridentine Rite Codified by Pope St. Pius V, and hold the Sedevacantist view.

  • Secular priests have the right to join the Confraternity for the purpose of benefiting the clerical state.

 
Aims of the Confraternity:

  • To foster unity among Sedevacantists Independent Traditional Roman Catholic priests.

  • To share the same values and foster unity and the fullness of priestly life and ministry.

  • To be under Episcopal oversight as required by the Canon Law.

  • To work independently and encourage faithfulness to the priestly life and to honour the Blessed Trinity.

 
Fundamental requirements for the priest to join:

  • Authentic Catholic Faith

  • Profession of the Anti-Modernist Oath.

  • Adherence to sedevacantist position.

  • Adherence to the Augustinian spirituality.

  • Regular contact on activity on regular basis.

  • Three yearly ad limina to the Bishop’s Priory in Great Britain.

  • Annual contribution to support the mission.

  • Due to evident Administration problems, we must limit this offer to Europe and America.

Cette Confraternité est une association volontaire et fraternelle de Prêtres catholiques romains traditionnels

  • exerçant un ministère indépendant,

  • exclusivement attachés à la célébration des rites sacrés, tels qu’ils ont été codifiés par le saint Concile de Trente et le Pape S. Pie V,

  • professant la position sédévacantiste.

 
Buts de la Confraternité

  • Promouvoir l’unité parmi les Prêtres traditionnels indépendants,

  • Partager la Foi commune et encourager la plénitude de la vie et du ministère sacerdotaux,

  • Permettre aux Prêtres d’être sous juridiction épiscopale, conformément au Droit Canon

  • Sauvegarder l’indépendance du ministère et encourager l’épanouissement de la vie sacerdotale, à la louange de la Très Sainte Trinité.

 
Sont requis de la part de tout Prêtre désireux de rejoindre la Confraternité :

  • Adhésion pleine et entière à la Foi catholique traditionnelle ;

  • Profession du Serment antimoderniste ;

  • Adhésion à la position sédévacantiste ;

  • Spiritualité augustinienne ;

  • Contact et rapport d’activités réguliers ;

  • Trois visites annuelles ad limina (au Prieuré épiscopal en Grande-Bretagne) ;

  • Contribution annuelle de soutien.

 
Remarque importante
En raison des difficultés de déplacement et de gestion, Son Excellence Mgr French entend restreindre cette proposition aux Prêtres indépendants exerçant leur ministère en Europe et éventuellement en Amérique. Il ne s’agit en aucun cas, de la part de notre Evêque, d’une quelconque revendication d’une juridiction sur ces régions du monde, mais simplement d’une question technique.

Die Sedevacantist Bruderschaft von unabhängigen traditionellen Römisch-Katholischen Priestern ist eine freiwillige und vollkommen unabhängig funktionierende Bruderschaft.
Sie ist ausschliesslich für Priester die dem Tridentine Ritual von Pabst Pius V folgen und den Sedevacantist Standpunkt vertrehten.
Säkulare Priester können sich der Bruderschaft anschliessen um eine bischhöfliche Autorität zu erlangen.
 
Das Ziel der Bruderschaft ist :

  • Förderung der Einheit unter unabhängigen traditionellen Römisch-Katholischen Sedevacantist Priestern.

  • Förderung der gemeinsamen spirituellen Werte, der Einheit und Vollkommenheit des priesterlichen Lebens sowie im kirchlichen Dienst.

  • Unterordnung unter eine bischhöfliche Aufsicht nach dem kanonischen Gesetz.

  • Selbständiges Arbeiten, Ermutigung zum priesterlichem Leben und Ehrung der Heiligen Dreieinigkeit.

 
Grundsätzliche Bedingungen für Priester die sich anschliessen wollen :

  • Ein echter gelebter katholischer Glaube

  • Öffentliches Bekenntnis zum Antimodernismus

  • Zugehörigkeit zu der Sedevacantist Position

Para fomentar la unidad de los sedevacantistas y evitar la fragmentación, nuestra Comunidad ofrece con humildad lo siguiente: Una Cofradía de Sacerdotes Sedevacantistas Independientes Católicos Romanos La Cofradía de Sacerdotes Sedevacantistas Independientes Católicos Romanos Tradicionales es una asociación voluntaria y fraternal de sacerdotes católicos romanos tradicionales que funcionan de forma independiente. Sacerdotes que siguen exclusivamente el Rito Tridentino Codificado por el Papa San Pío V y mantienen la postura sedevacantista. Los sacerdotes seculares tienen derecho a unirse a la Cofradía para beneficiar al estado clerical.

 

Objetivos de la Cofradía: Fomentar la unidad entre los sacerdotes católicos romanos tradicionales independientes sedevacantistas. Compartir los mismos valores y fomentar la unidad y la plenitud de la vida y el ministerio sacerdotal. Estar bajo la supervisión episcopal, según lo exige el Derecho Canónico. Trabajar de forma independiente y fomentar la fidelidad a la vida sacerdotal y honrar a la Santísima Trinidad.

 

Requisitos fundamentales para la incorporación del sacerdote: Fe católica auténtica Profesión del Juramento Antimodernista Adhesión a la postura sedevacantista Adhesión a la espiritualidad agustiniana Contacto regular sobre actividades. Asistencia ad limina trienal al Priorato del Obispo en Gran Bretaña Contribución anual para apoyar la misión. Debido a evidentes problemas administrativos, debemos limitar esta oferta a Europa y América.

His Excellency Msgr Michael French, CRSA
Msgr Pavel Maria Hnilica, sj, although he was quite involved with the so-called Popes of Vatican II, given his own experience of the Communist persecution of the Catholic Church, nourished strong sympathies for the Traditional movement. In the month of November 1999, he accepted to consecrate sub conditione in his private apartments in Rome Msgr Emmanuel Korab, a fellow Czechoslovak, Sedevacantist bishop. Msgr Hnilica was following the historical precedents of Msgrs Ngo Dinh Thuc, Marcel Lefebvre and Alfredo Mendez Gonzalez, who performed episcopal consecrations considering the actual religious crisis.
By this consecration, both valid and licit, Msgr Michael French, who was consecrated sub conditione by Msgr Korab in 2004, fully partakes of the purest Catholic lineage, for the preservation of the dearest Treasuries of our Holy Mother the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, which are the Sacraments, only vehicles of the Sanctifying Grace.
To prevent any misunderstanding and to dissipate some rash judgments let it be clear that His Excellency Msgr French doesn’t claim any geographical jurisdiction, his episcopal oversight being limited to the spiritual real. Furthermore, we don’t have any link of any kind with the “Old Catholics” or any non-Catholic organisation.
